Description:

The AED that started it all
The original Defibtech AED includes all mission critical features necessary to provide the most advanced treatment for Sudden Cardiac Arrest. It is so simple and unintimidating to use that even non-medical personnel can effectively save lives.
In a crisis, thereʼs no time to read
an instruction manual. Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) must be simple, clear and straightforward. Defibtech AEDs are built to the exacting standards needed for emergency personnel, yet are designed for the speed and simplicity required for use by non-medical and often untrained individuals. Defibtech’s lightweight device
and sure-grip rubberized handle make it easy to pull the AED off the wall and transport to a patient. A calm voice guides the responder through each step, reinforced by a text display with lights to show the progress. Electrode pads are tucked into a back pocket, ready
to apply, and large, clearly illuminated “Power On” and “Shock” buttons help even the most nervous fingers hit their mark.
A Rapidly Growing Market Leader
When first introduced in 2002, the Defibtech AED revolutionized the marketplace, offering a fully-featured device at only half the price of its competitors. Just five years later, Defibtech was the fastest growing medical equipment manufacturer in the prestigious Technology Fast 500 Program from Deloitte & Touche USA.
Quality and Value
Defibtech delivers the most cost-effective AED on the market without sacrificing the highest levels of quality and reliability. Each Defibtech AED is extensively tested and inspected before shipment, ensuring
that customers receive a world-class product.
Design
Defibtech has more than 50,000 units already in use under the Lifeline™ and ReviveR™ brand names. Defibtech units are not only found in emergency vehicles; they have also been deployed in nearly every venue where people gather, including workplaces, schools, churches, health clubs, malls, government buildings, military bases and countless other locations worldwide.
Made in the USA
Headquartered in Guilford, Connecticut, Defibtech manufactures all of its defibrillators in the United States in state-of-the-art ISO-13485 certified facilities. The products are then sold exclusively through a network of distribution partners and are in use in more than 30 countries worldwide.
Why Defibrillation
Each year, more than 400,000 people will suffer sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) in places such as work, home, the gym or school. It is the leading cause of death in North America and can affect people of all ages, anytime, anywhere. Less than 1% of SCA victims survive without intervention. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and early defibrillation with an automated external defibrillator (AED) within three minutes increases the chance of survival to 70%. The technology is so valuable that most CPR training courses now include sections on the use of AEDs. While most early responders — police, fire and EMT — have AEDs in their vehicles, the chances of survival are reduced by 7-10% for every minute that passes without intervention. Every second counts. Having an AED on hand for use before the professionals arrive can mean the difference between life and death. The more AEDs are available, the more lives are saved.
